Changelog

New features. Small improvements. A better way to work on contracts.

  • Simplified templates experience. Create a reusable contract template from an existing agreement, upload a PDF, or write one from scratch. Check the draft, save it, and use it to start your next contract.

  • Improved Q&A with the AI contract editor. When the assistant needs a detail, such as a signer's email, a focused walkthrough appears above the chat prompt. Answer one question at a time, then send the answers together.

  • See Terms in action on the homepage. Three animated previews show how to draft, ask questions, and comment on contracts. Each one has its own pause button.

  • Claude usage in Analytics. Admins can connect Anthropic reporting to see API spend and token usage for the selected period, alongside the existing product analytics.

  • Edit contract titles right in the preview. Click the title to change it without opening a separate settings panel. If a title is missing, we take you straight to it before you send.

  • Simpler comment replies. Reply from a compact composer, with one place to accept a thread or mark it resolved.

  • Void a contract without sending an email. Voiding now moves the contract to Recently deleted without notifying recipients. Their existing links show that it is voided and can no longer be signed.

  • Less waiting around the app. We improved how the home screen, signing pages, and contract questions load, and made the dashboard navigation more consistent.

  • Bring your existing agreements into Terms. Upload agreements in batches, follow their progress, and keep the originals in a private library. Imported agreements appear alongside your other contracts.

  • Ask questions with the source at hand. Ask directly from an imported agreement or choose agreements in chat. Answers include passages you can check against the source.

  • Pick up a conversation where you left off. Home conversations are saved, so you can return to a question or continue turning it into a draft.

  • More control over reference documents. Save a chat attachment to your private library when you want to keep using it. You can also share imported sources with teammates and manage access.

  • A smoother experience on your phone. We brought the menus and navigation together across the app and made the signing action easier to reach while reading a contract.

  • More natural conversations about your contracts. The assistant handles follow-up questions and quick lookups more directly, and can answer questions about your plan and usage too.

  • A tidier workspace. We simplified importing, filtering, and sorting agreements, brought account settings together, and refreshed the icons throughout Terms.

  • Let your agents work on drafts. Connected agents can create and edit unsent drafts, including signer details, when you grant them draft access.

  • Download a PDF before anyone signs. Export an unsigned contract from its status area when you need a copy to review or share.

  • Update signers without rewriting the agreement. Saving a name or email now keeps the draft text as it is. Line breaks also carry through more consistently from the editor to the PDF.

  • Better recovery when an AI request stops. We improved recovery for interrupted requests and kept billing actions separate from the drafting conversation.

  • Connect your agent to Terms. A new connector API lets agents read the contracts you can access. We added setup instructions for Muse and account controls for managing API keys.

  • Clearer privacy and terms pages. We separated the Privacy Policy and Terms of Service and expanded the explanation of how Terms handles documents, AI, and email.

  • Simplified templates experience. We cleaned up the templates page so it is easier to find a recent contract and use it as the starting point for a new one.

  • Drop files straight into chat. Attach PDFs, plain-text files, and Markdown documents by dragging them into the chat window. You can add up to five files to a message.

  • Keep removed contracts out of the way. Deleted drafts and voided contracts now live in a Recently deleted section. They stay available to read without cluttering your active list.

  • Pricing that fits on your phone. We fixed the mobile pricing cards and gave each plan a full-width button, making the options easier to compare.

  • A clearer view of how Terms is used. We added a private analytics dashboard to help our team understand account activity, contracts, and website traffic.

  • Update signer details through chat. Ask the assistant to correct a signer on an existing draft. PDF imports also pick up signer details from the document and ask for anything missing.

  • Drafts that know today's date. The assistant now has the current date when drafting. If you have not specified an effective date, it can use today and tell you it has done so.

  • Clearer contract status and completed records. We grouped contracts by progress, brought signing details into one expandable record, and added PDF downloads for completed contracts. You can also delete an unused draft or void a sent contract.

  • Set up a contract through conversation. The assistant can collect signer names, emails, companies, and roles in chat, then fill in the contract details for you.

  • More room to work on mobile. Document, Chat, and Comments now have their own screens, with simpler navigation and more space for the part you are working on.

  • Undo a deleted comment. Removed a comment by mistake? You can now bring it back with Undo.

  • Give the AI the whole conversation. When you ask the assistant to apply a comment, it gets the replies too. The thread appears as a compact, expandable reference in chat.

  • One editor for drafts and sent contracts. Keep working in the same editor with your chat history intact. Changes to a sent contract stay private until you choose to send an update.

  • Turn feedback into changes with AI. Accept a comment and ask the assistant to apply it to the agreement, directly from the editor conversation.

  • Easier signing and commenting on mobile. We improved mobile signing and added general document comments. Contract owners also get separate Edit and Sign actions, so the next step is clearer.

  • One acknowledgement, less interruption. We combined the product disclaimers into a single account acknowledgement, without the extra timer or repeated prompts.

  • Start with a conversation. The new home screen puts chat first. Describe what you need to begin a draft, or ask about a contract you already have.

  • Turn a PDF into an editable contract. Import an existing PDF as the starting point for a contract, then work on its text in the editor.

  • Search and ask across your contracts. Find an agreement by its words or ask a question in plain language. Answers name the contracts they used and quote the relevant clauses.

  • Work with Terms over email. Pro accounts can ask the email agent questions about contracts or request a draft using an email thread and its attachments.

  • Review before you send. A dedicated review step makes it easier to check the agreement and signers. You can also share a read-only preview with assigned signers before enabling signing.

  • Sign in with the email on the contract. Signers now use their account to open an agreement. A forwarded link alone does not give someone access.

  • Know when it is time to sign. Signers receive an email when a contract is sent, and everyone gets a notification when the last person signs.

  • Send updates with a clear record of changes. Edits stay private until you send a new version. Signers can see what changed, and signatures are tied to the exact text they agreed to.

  • Add the company behind a signature. Each signer can now have a company or other entity listed alongside their name.

  • Meet the people behind Terms. We launched new homepage, pricing, and about pages, including a look at the studio and how the product handles your contracts.

  • Your contracts, in your account. We added account sign-in and kept each account's documents separate, so you can return to your own contracts from the dashboard.

  • Give the assistant a reference PDF. Attach a PDF to the drafting chat and use it as context while writing your agreement.

  • See your AI allowance. A usage meter shows how much AI drafting you have used. Paid plans add a larger monthly allowance while writing, commenting, and signing stay free.

  • The first version of Terms. We started with a simple way to write a contract in the browser, add signers, and share a link for review.

  • Write and preview in one place. A Markdown editor, formatting toolbar, and live preview let you work directly on the agreement without preparing a separate PDF.

  • Discuss the details on the contract. Highlight a passage to leave a comment and keep the replies together in a thread.

  • Sign and keep a record. Sign with a typed name. When everyone has signed, the document locks and a certificate of completion records the signing history.

  • Draft with AI beside you. Ask for a first draft or a change in chat and watch the assistant write it into the document.

Dates reflect when changes landed on main. Each announcement links to the commits behind it.
